My Approach

Starting therapy can feel elusive—even intimidating—especially if it’s your first time. As a clinical psychologist, I strive to demystify the process and break down the barriers that often prevent people from seeking the support they need. One of my first goals is to help you imagine what it might be like to work together in a space that feels both safe and purposeful.

At my core, I’m a collaborative empiricist, rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). That means while I bring clinical knowledge and treatment expertise, you are the expert on your own life. Together, we’ll explore the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors to guide your treatment. I provide recommendations tailored to your unique situation, and I’ll encourage you to actively participate in the process—your input matters deeply.

I regularly check in to make sure you feel seen and supported. One thing my clients often hear me say is, “What’s happening right now?” It’s a simple question that creates space for honest reflection and has become a touchstone of my work.

I also recognize that the therapy room may be one of the few places where you feel truly safe. I honor and protect that space—because everyone deserves a place where they can explore their mind, process their experiences, and plan their life without fear or judgment.

As a bilingual Spanish-speaking clinician, I’m also deeply committed to providing culturally sensitive care. Your identity, values, culture, and lived experiences all shape how you see the world—and they matter in treatment. I strive to understand those visible and invisible forces to ensure our work honors who you are.

If any of this resonates with you, I invite you to reach out for a free phone consultation. Whether we work together or not, my hope is that you find a space where you feel empowered to build the life you envision. I’d be honored to be a part of that journey.
