Individual Therapy
Do your emotions overwhelm you? Do they get away from you and lead to behaviors that affect your relationships, career and/or sense of self? Individual counseling is an opportunity to discuss your concerns or problems, such as stress, feelings of low self-esteem, anxiety, or depression. Individual therapy sessions are offered weekly for approximately 45 minutes.

Psychoeducational evaluations and assessments
Are you experiencing difficulties in school or work? Is your child experiencing issues at school or being singled out by teachers? An evaluation to understand intellectual functioning and school/work performance may be necessary to provide individualized support for you or your loved one.
DBT Skills Training
Are you or a loved one having a hard time managing emotions, handling stress, or navigating relationships? Have you been told that learning concrete coping skills could help? If so, DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) Skills Training might be exactly what you need.

Dr. Portillo offers DBT Skills Training in both one-on-one sessions and group therapy settings, depending on what works best for you. This structured, evidence-based approach is designed to help people learn practical tools to better manage emotions, reduce impulsive behaviors, and improve communication.
